1997 Chateau Beauvillain-Monpezat - Cahors
Malbec with a smidge of Merlot and Tannat.
Dark Ruby Red, Black fruits, cherry and earth, on the palate dry but smooth with predominantly black cherries. A touch rustic but a properly structured wine with balanced acidity and upfront tannins supporting good deep cherry fruit. 90pts
